Apartment rentals in cities other than Bucharest

Apartments come semi furnished with beds, stove, fridge and sometimes Television, microwave and washing machine.
1 room apartment
– €150-180 Consists of 1 room, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen, balcony. Equivalent of a studio apartment
2 rooms – € 200-250 kitchen, bathroom, balcony, 1 bedroom +1 living room or 2 bedrooms
3 rooms – € 250-350 kitchen, bathroom (sometimes even 2 bathrooms) balcony (sometimes 2), 1 living room and 2 bedrooms.
4 rooms– € 350-450 kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, 1 living room, 3 bedrooms.

Estate agents will charge a service fee of 50-75% of your first months rental amount to find you an apartment.

Taxis: € 0.50/km
Trains: cross country. A 700km example from Bucharest to Oradea (6-10hrs) 2nd class – approx € 29

Food and Restaurants

Fruits and veges are priced seasonally. You can get almost any kind of fruit or vege regardless of the season, but will have to pay much higher prices during winter when they are imported. Local Romanian vegetables and fruit are of highest quality and exceptionally cheap when bought at the piazzas (farmers markets).
