Documents deadline and close of applications for 2010/2011

We’ve all been working around the clock these last few days, processing last minute applications to the medical school programs and resolving issues on earlier applications.

As of today Thursday, September 8, we will not be accepting any new applications to study medicine in Romania for the 2010/2011 academic year.

Those who have already been given the go-ahead from us to send their documents, please make sure you use an overnight courier service like DHL, FEDEX or equivalent to ensure your documents reach us by 5pm, Monday, 12th September.

Romanian University Late Applications for 2011/12 academic year

Get moving mateys! Applications to the Romania for medicine, dentistry and pharmacy remain open for both English and French language candidates until Monday the 12th September. This means that application documents completed as per our specific requirements need to be at our Romanian office by 5pm Monday 12th September.

This applies to both candidates from E.U and non-E.U countries.

Applications to Romanian Medical Schools 2010/2011

Applications to most of the Romanian medical universities will remain open until at least the end of August 10th of September. There are seats available at two one of the faculties Medical Student Advisors work with. We encourage all prospective students to Romania to apply as soon as possible.

There have been many application files rejected by the Romanian Ministry of Education this year due to the files not being correctly completed. Application files are being carefully reviewed and the recent changes to requirements with regards to documentation, are not negotiable.

Romanian University applications for 2009 closed

To all the successful applicants who applied in 2009, congratulations! It was a challenge this year with many visits to the Romanian Ministry of Education in Bucharest to ensure all applications complied with the requirements.

Although the figures are not yet in, we can safely estimate an acceptance rate to the medical programs of over 95% for our 2009 clients.

There were a far larger number of applicants this year and Romania is clearly becoming an internationally recognized and sought after study abroad location for international medical students. At two of the faculties we work with all seats were taken …

Cambridge education model at UNC Medical School recently announced

University of North Carolina School of Medicine has started an interesting pilot program where selected students in the fourth year of the medical program are given the opportunity to have more practical medical training.

One of the many areas that cries out for change in the field of medical education is providing students with practical experience both in terms of medical procedures and interacting with patients. Medical students at UNC School of Medicine and most other American medical schools are given a tour of the hospital they will be working in.
