2007 applications for Oradea University

As of Monday, 6 August 2007 no further applications can be guranteed for Oradea University’s October registration. The faculty has informed us that due to new regulations, they will not be accepting applications from our clients after August 6.

We encourage applicants to complete their online applicatins as MSA are working on a few alternative arrangements for late applicants and for those who have just joined us.

The possibilities include 2 other faculties in Romania that we are finalising agreements with and another option on a completely different continent: Argentina! in South America

Hurricane relief for Meed Services in South India

Medical Student Advisors parent company, Khanyi Media immediately came to the assistance of Meeds Services when the Director Mr Kambala Subramanyam notified us of the damage caused by a hurricane a few days ago.

Meeds services were able to begin repairing of building roofs and other structures with the use of funds donated by Khanyi Media.

The team at MSA wish them a speedy recovery.

MSA Sponsors Romanian Animal Welfare Organisations winter food

On a recent visit to Romania, Santhan was introduced to the directors of Nature Heritage For the Future (NHF), a Romanian organisation helping over 70 cats and 200 dogs. Nature Heritage directors volunteer most of their spare time to working with the animals, feeding, cleaning and vaccinating.

Unlike other animal welfare organisations, NHF house and care for the abandoned animals for their entire natural life. No animals are put down. NHF have several programs where schools and young children may visit the centre and take the dogs for walks or help with the unending list of tasks to complete.

Full time MSA team member in Romania

Cristina Todoran has recently joined the MSA team as a full time member. Recently graduating amongst the top members of her Bachelor of Economics university class, Cristina will bring more than just her financial knowledge into the company.

After a 6 month internship and training period, Cristina was promoted to Regional Manager. Her position as Regional Manager calls for excellent communication and people’s skills. Khanyi Media contribution to Meeds Services orphanage in South India

The parent company of Medical Student Advisors, Khanyi Media were recently introduced to the beautiful folk at Meeds Services, whom work tirelessly to run an orphanage in South India.

We  provided financial assistance as well as volunteer time to help build their website.

We are grateful to be given an opportunity to contribute towards their work. Meeds services runs an orphanage where young abandoned children are housed, fed, educated and looked after by surrogate parents.

Medical students for 2006 adjusting to the new environment

With every new year, the diversity of MSA clients increases. This year medical students from Ghana, Somalia, UK, Canada, United States, Nigeria, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, South Africa, Botswana, Malaysia, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Iran, Cameroon, Holland, Ireland and China formed part of the client group to begin medical studies in Romania.

This year students arrived in Romania in large groups. The onsite MSA staff had to recruit and train local student organisation members to assist clients with the registration and visa application procedures.

Sponsorship to Oradea University’s Faculty of Medicine

Medical Student advisors recently sponsored the Faculty of Medicine in Oradea with funds to purchase new computers and other equipment for the secretariate office. State funded universities work on a budget, sometimes making it difficult for administrators to allocate funds for purchasing basic yet essential tools for communication. Private universities, which have much larger budgets don’t face this problem.

MSA Parent Company Sponsors water well and clinic in South India

Khanyi Media, the holding company of Medical Student Advisors, has contributed towards the building of an Ayurvedic clinic and water well in Thiruvannamalai, South India.

The project is headed by Dr V Manickam, an Ayurvedic practitioner and devotee of Sri Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi. His clinic serves the local community as a non-profit organization.

We wish Dr Manickam success in this project that is providing employment and natural medical care for villagers living close by to Arunachala and hope to be of further assistance in the future.

Online medical school application system and organisational upgrades

The MSA IT team have been at work over the last month upgrading the IT organisational structure of the company. The improvements include a more user friendly online application and communication system allowing for a smoother application process and communication between students and MSA offices. The system is expandable allowing MSA to add the new medical faculties that we are currently in negotiation with. The change in IT infrastructure coincides with a restructuring of MSA company objectives and purpose.
