It began with our company

It was the year 2000, the turn of a millennium and here I found myself walking along the streets of a small charming village in the north east of Romania, not far from the border of Hungary.

Oradea was a village town – small population and no franchises at that time. I remember small children hiding behind their parents and pointing at me because they had not seen someone with a darker brown skin in person. A 11 year period after the fall of communism was not that long a time in terms of culture. Cultures take way longer to …

Study Abroad Logistic Services – Introducing Study Buddies

Since starting MSA in 2001, I’ve held on to a curiosity on what would help an international students feel at home in their new environment. The rapidly changing terrain: new language; different foods; no family; no friends; intense academic requirements; complex admin tasks and so on – often causes a sensitive person to withdraw, resulting in a sub-optimal state of being and an inability to completely process all the change.

Studying abroad is a major upgrade; a significant challenge and a massive opportunity. From having the experience of studying abroad myself and from having worked with numerous students, I’ve come …

The Fourth Revolution and Modern Medicine.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution represents a radical change in the way we live, work and relate to one another. It is a new chapter in human development, enabled by extraordinary technology advances including the medical field. These advances are merging the physical, digital and biological worlds in ways that create both huge promise and potential danger. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is about more than just technology-driven change; it is an opportunity to help everyone, including leaders, policy-makers and people from all income groups and nations, to harness converging technologies in order to create a brighter future.

Nutrition.

Nutrition is the key to a healthy life.Medical schools used to teach for about 20 hours on nutrition over 4 years. We hope that this trend will undergo a swift change.

In a 2016 study, researchers at Case Western Reserve University examined data from 25 family medicine, internal medicine and OB-GYN medical residency programs throughout Ohio: What they found is that these programs averaged 2.8 hours of instruction on obesity, nutrition and physical activity counseling, and only 42 percent of them taught the residents techniques for how to perform health behavior counseling.

Given this, it’s not exactly shocking that

Medicine and dentistry.

The mouth is the beginning of the digestive tract; and, in fact, digestion starts here when taking the first bite of food. Chewing breaks the food into pieces that are more easily digested, while saliva mixes with food to begin the process of breaking it down into a form your body can absorb and use.

Many of the new age medical practitioners  are suggesting that dentistry and medicine should be studied together as the mouth and teeth are vital parts of our bodies and digestive system. We hope that in the near future medical universities will  teach the two studies …

Graduating medical doctors from Romania, saying goodbye…

It was October, 6 years ago when I met Kapil, an international medical student who came to Romania to study Medicine. He was young and enthusiastic, accompanied by his dad. We met at the airport where I personally picked them up. I will always remember them; a proud father, proud of his son and a dreaming youngster ready to spend 6 of his most amazing years 8000 km away from his home.

We settled him down, found him a room mate and a flat close to the university and he was ready to study within a few days. His father …

Private detective or the so called agent?

It all started around 6 years ago. After being trained, I was ready to prove that I am the best at customer services. I wanted to be a customer service hero! I thought that it will be a job like any other job…I thought that after finishing my tasks I will return home as any normal person. Actually, it was only the beggining of what would turn out to be a new  new life for me. Many wonderful people and new experiences came into my life since that incident.

It was a cold day, Romanian end of autumn day, when …

Parent Concerns – My child is going to study abroad!

I’m anxious about my daughter leaving home to study abroad.

That’s normal. Which caring parent would not feel some level of concern about their child leaving home, let alone going off travelling to another continent for an extended period? It’s OK to be concerned. Here’s a few things to reflect upon that may get rid of the worry monster:

  • All study destinations are carefully selected by us. We would only send your children to places we would send our children to.
  • A support structure organically forms between friends. Your child will make friends with other international
